to California"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>In March we made our annual trip down to visit old friends in California. \u00a0This time we stayed with Austin and Monica and their 3-year-old lad Owen. \u00a0We had a wonderful work-cation, visiting the beach, the Descanso Gardens, Travel Town, and Venice. \u00a0We saw as many friends as we could fit into the ten day trip, culminating with a huge BBQ at the Dyrdahls&#8217; pad. \u00a0It was crazy to see how many of our pals have families, and it was a real treat to get them all in one place. \u00a0Rach and I exchanged many &#8220;why did we ever leave!?&#8221; glances, because the visit was so magical. \u00a0(But then we got stuck in traffic and were given one reminder.) \u00a0Josef could not have been a better traveler: hardly a peep on both flights! \u00a0Though after about a week he seemed ready to go home so ten days might have been pushing it.<\/p>\n<div id='gallery-1' class='gallery galleryid-1866 gallery-columns-4
