This year Easter was considerably more interesting than last! Having a nice big yard is a good start, and of course being able to walk and grab things is a must. We have Cousin Mary Posey to thank for the adorable Easter Outfit. Rachael made baskets for the whole family, which included special guest visitors Grammanette and Aunt Malynda! Josef’s basket was full of dried cranberries–his favorite treat.
We had everyone over for dinner later in the day. Earlier in the week JD’s dad had made a gift to us of a whole hog, so we butchered it down on his farm and picked out a marvelous bone-in shoulder roast, which I preared for our Easter feast. It was very satisying to see the meal from start to finish, barnyard to table!

What an adorable child! I love the outfit! I am so happy you guys are having such an idyllic life up there with your Mom so close. I hope we can get up to see you all sometime in the near future. Julie still suffers with chronic pain and is unable to travel a lot so we are still pretty limited, hating to leave her behind. Anytime you all want a getaway to San Francisco Bay, just let us know. We would love to see you all.
Thank you again for including me in this wonderful communication.
Much love to you-Suzie
