As usual, I don’t have too much to report for the winter since I’m in a black hole for 2.5 months. But before I got sucked in I realized a long-held fantasy to become a sailor by buying an old used 27′ sailboat! I have years of practice ahead of me before I can start jaunting around the Mediterranean, but I have to start somewhere. I have the captain’s cap, so that’s a good start.
I also took Josef skiing every weekend in January and boy did he improve fast! We met up with friends every time, which was a huge impetus to learning. He took on his first black diamond by the end of the month. I’m so excited about what next winter might hold for him!
Although Jamie and I have been partners for three years, like all good accountants we frugally waited until we’d gone through all the old stationary and envelopes before changing out business name. I do feel a great sense of pride having my name on the front door now!
