This has been the wettest winter I can recall. In fact, it has been the wettest winter anyone can ever recall that is under the age of 96. Just non-stop rain for ages, and you’ll see in the pictures below that things are quite soggy around these parts.
The good news is that I was so incredibly busy at work that I never had time to care or notice. From the end of January until mid-April I was working around 65 hours per week. Rachael essentially became a single parent and I spent two nights a week down in Eugene at my cousin Beverly’s home. It was a long hard slog and both Josef and Rach were real champs. As hard as it was, I was always greeted with big hugs and smiles when I came home and I sure did appreciate it after such long days!
It was hard to be so absent from Josef’s life, and a jarring change from the last 4 years. He seemed to grow in leaps and bounds. One week he could barely draw a stick figure and the next he would be making elaborate monsters or robots with great detail. He seems so long and lean compared to the little chubaloo that I used to tote around!
As you can imagine, I didn’t have much chance to take any photos so the pickings are slim.
