Here are some photos spanning our last month living in Santa Monica, from late-May to mid-June. Josef was just figuring out how to inchworm across the floor. He could stand up if he had something to hold on to, but not pull himself up to standing alone. He loved bananas or egg yolk for breakfast, avocado for lunch, and sweet potato for dinner, often washed down with a hearty draught of Papa’s special bone-broth from his little clay stein.
We made many trips to the beach, and once rode the bus to downtown Los Angeles to go on an architectural walking tour. We stopped for lunch at the Grand Central Market and then met up with Mama at her office. We had lots of visits from loved ones who wanted to say goodbye, and one last visit from Oma and Opa too. We were quite sad to be leaving our wonderful little beach life, but the excitement of returning to Oregon more than compensated.
