11 Months

Our August was jam-packed with activity and adventure. Aunt Janet and Henrique came from Portugal to stay with us for 3 weeks, so we made the most of their visit: hiking, playing in the Willamette, camping along the Siletz, visiting the Enchanted Forest and the Oregon Coast Aquarium, and of course playing in the pool in the backyard.

Josef seemed to turn a corner this month, really becoming an animated little person.  He interacts with his world in a deeper way, communicates (typically with his expert pointing technique), and likes to play and rough house.  He likes to climb stairs and take things out of containers.  He has just learned to stand, and likes to throw a ball into the pool over and over while standing.
